Unlimited Flag Notes & Discuss Notes

Team now allows you to include multiple Flag or Discuss Notes in a single request. When using multiple Flag Notes in a single request, Team uses and displays the following Flag States:

  • No Flag - no flag icon is displayed in the request or TeamView, no active flag is in the request
  • My Flag - a blue flag icon is displayed in the request and TeamView indicating that you have an active flag in the request.
  • Other Flag - a gray flag icon is displayed in the request and TeamView indicating that another user has an active flag in the request, but you do not.

Team also allows you to change existing general notes in to Flag or Discuss Notes.

Notifications have been enhanced to include the following fields and recipient wildcards that can be used when defining notices for informing users when changes have been made to Flag and/or Discuss Notes as follows:

Custom Schema (SQL only)

Team provides you with some custom fields including Text, Date, Numeric, Memo, Money, and Marker fields.

However, you may need additional custom fields or you may not need all of the custom fields that Team supplies you with.

Using the new Schema tool included in the Alexsys Team Database Utility, you can add more custom fields in your SQL database or remove the fields you don't need.

Custom LongText Fields (SQL only)

Team now includes a new field type called LongText. LongText allows up to 80 characters, where a standard Text field allows only 40 characters.

LongText fields can be added to your SQL database using the new Schema tool.

Team now includes Drag and Drop support for the following:

  • attachments to/from Requests from/to Desktop

Team now has enhanced "Duplicate Work Request" Properties to:

  • select the Request Type of the new duplicated request
  • relate the new duplicated request to the original as a peer, parent or child
  • copy all relationships from the original request to the new duplicated request
  • copy all notes from the original request to the new duplicated request
  • copy all attachments from the original request to the new duplicated request
  • save the new request and ignore all field rules

Team-Web - Request Duplication

Team-Web now includes the ability to duplicate Work Requests using the same Duplicate Work Request properties that are available in Team.

Team Duplicate Field Rules are also enforced when duplicating requests in Team-Web.

Attachment Type Options

System Administrators can use the new "Allow Attach Methods" settings in the "Attachment - System Options" to control which Attachment Methods Team users have access to when adding attachments to Work Requests.

Attach Method settings are enforced in both Team and Team-Web.

As with all Team fields, these fields can be used in:

* Workdays only excludes weekends.  Customizable Workdays to exclude holidays, shutdowns, etc. will be provided in a future release.
